Despite the threatening form this sculpture is rather a lyrical composition about the interaction between force and tenderness, between yin and yang. Who is the strongest one in this group? Are these two opposing energies or are they actually cooperating? Like many of Dashi’s works, this composition doesn’t illustrate a particular moment or myth but opens a discussion about the codependence of the inner and outer worlds.
