The "Swan-Lady" doll represents an image that refers to a mythological story about the totemic progenitor of the Khorin Buryats that depicts the heavenly swan-maiden Khun Shubuun. The Swan turned a girl and stayed with Khoredoi Mergen. She lived with him for many years and gave birth to their 11 sons, who became the progenitors of the eleven family lines of the Khorin people.
